Finally met up my Poly Year 1 gang after like 8 to 9 years?!
One of them suggested Hopheads.
So I went to check and thought the place and menu looks not bad, so why not right?

Underground bar. How cool right? Is it a hidden gem? Let's find out!

The place is so spacious!

Free games~
But you have to queue for your turn of course...

Seemed like the night is still young...

Having some Chinese fonts to make it less mainstream?

请不要整天花天酒地! 哇哈哈!

***************
ok, enough said.
Time for FOOD!
We are HUNGRY already!

Drumlets @ $12.90
Peppery Fried Drumlets

Crispy outside and tender inside.
Usually Fried Chicken can't really go wrong when they are served hot right?
In addition, when you are hungry, it just makes the food even tastier.
No "WOW" factor though and doesn't taste peppery too as mention in its name.

Onion Rings @ $7.90

Good to have when all your friends have not reach yet.
But without it, you are not missing out either.

Soft Shell Crab Burger @ $17.90
Deep fried soft shell crab with kaffir lime mayo, pickles. Served with Fries.

I think it will do more justice to look at the photo below instead.
Look at the soft shell crab sitting nicely above the pasta!
But for people who prefer burger and fries, go for this of course.
There's actually a runny side up underneath the soft shell crab, but wasn't captured in the photo.
Overall combination was not bad. But then again, a big sized burger like this, I will eat it separately, defeats the purpose of having a burger. So, I would prefer to have the pasta instead!

Soft Shell Crab Pasta @ $16.90
Pasta with béchamel sauce, topped with a tempura soft shell crab.

Just look at the evenly fried GOLDEN BROWN Soft Shell Crab!
Please have them while it's still hot. It was crispy and savory.
Suggest to share the pasta with your friends because I felt having the big crab with the béchamel sauce pasta can get a little gelat after a while.

See how big the crab is?
Selling at an affordable price. Thumbs up!

Salted Egg Yolk Pasta @ $16.90
Deep fried breaded tiger prawns topped on signature creamy salted egg yolk sauce with curry leaves and chilli

The salted egg sauce was not bad. But again, I suggest to share with your friends.
Got gelat after a while.

Sambal Chicken Pizza @ $19.90
Grandma's prawn paste sambal with chicken, onions, black olives and mozzarella.

The pizza was just alright. Should have ordered the smoked salmon pizza instead, looks more mouth watering than this. Not much sambal taste too. Meh.

Waffle Burger @ $18.90
Southern Fried Chicken thigh topped with sunny side up and maple syrup. Served with fries.

The portion was really huge. My guy friend ordered this and couldn't finish it.
The waffles were crispy outside and chewy in the middle. Not bad.
I would suggest them to have some salad or coleslaw as side dish instead. This is too heavy.
Too much carbo!

When will our next meet up be? Whose wedding next?
I do miss the times when we hangout in the past. They are a bunch of funny dudes.
Just sitting there listening to their conversation already would be make your day.
That's how lame and kiddish (sounds nicer than childish) they are.

 ******************************

All in all, my experience there was good and bad?

It gets rather noisy once the crowd came. Unfortunately, next to us was a group of working Uncles who talk super loud, even banging tables. It was a little difficult for to have our conversation.

Customer service wise, they are quite nice. One of them even lend me her Samsung cable to charge my phone. However, the service was rather slow too.

Food wise was not bad and selling at an affordable price.

So, I would rate it a 7/10.

Went for Trenzwalk with TingTing at Marina Bay Sands and chance upon this chill and chic place to have our dinner.

that's TingTing over there ~

Once you enter the restaurant, you will be blown away by their details.

I like the interior which looks rustic and at the same time looking very industrial with all the open pipes.
They made this two totally different concept work totally together, no?

So, since it's the "BIRD" Southern Table & Bar, we ought to order some bird related dishes, right?

Look at their extensive choices on Alcohols.

I may look a little chubbier here...
And to be honest this was a super late post!
I visit them in May which was already 5 months back!

Oh dear... it's about time to finish all the late posts! Buck up, Apple!
And yes, I was about 6 to 7kg heavier at that time I assume?

**************

Here comes the most important part of this post.
FOOD! GLORIOUS FOOD!

Skillet Cornbread @ $10
Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Jalapeno, Honey Butter

I notice that netizens were commenting on Instagram that this is a "must" eat?
But honestly, do not waste your calories.
Nothing fantastic about this piece of bread.

Instead,  consuming more unnecessary Carbs means less space for yummier food later on right?

Fried Green Tomato BLT @ $18
In-House Smoked Pork Belly, Pimento Cheese, Frisee, Smoky Tomato Jam, Lemon Vinaigrette

This was a dish recommended by our waitress.
The customer service here was really great.
They are very helpful, thoughtful and nice.
This particular dish that she recommended was definitely quite a starter that you should have.
However, when I went online to check on their menu, it was no longer on the menu.
What a waste!
It was savoury and flavourful. The overall combination was just beyond words!

Lewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken @ $35
1/2 of their Famous Bird served with Honey sauce

It wasn't the crispy and crunchy type that I expected.
It was more like KFC's Original Chicken or Arnold's Fried Chicken.
No "Wow' factor for the chicken too.
We were expecting more!
Thus, it was a little disappointing to us.

St.Louis Style Pork Ribs (1/2) @ $36
(Cider glaze, Green Apple Slaw)

We ordered half portion of the ribs as recommended by our waitress.
We really want to try the ribs but was afraid that there's too much food for just the two of us.

Now, looking back, the price for full ribs was priced at $42.... why are 1/2 portions priced at $36 ar? hmmmm....

Back to talking about this dish, this was pretty good!
The ribs was juicy, tender and full of flavours.
You guys should definitely order this pork ribs instead of their fried chicken.

They also suggested some wine for us to pair with the food.

Wanted to end this wonderful meal with their dessert but something terrible happened... so end up not getting any mood for desserts. :(

My handphone fell onto and the screen cracked... and along with my heart it fell.

****************

All in all, my experience there was really a pleasant one.
Their customer service was really good.
They are very nice and thoughtful.
Overall, food and ambience was not bad too.

So, I would rate it a 8/10.

Hi again, everybody~

This is a pretty new travel website that has everything you are looking for including flights and accommodations.

****************

****************

I'm planning for a Kuala Lumpur year end trip. It seemed like a thing nowadays ever since the sponsoring of the recent KL 2017 (29th SEA Games and 9th ASEAN Para Games).

Hence, this just come in time for me to do some homework and exploration of the site. At the same time, listing some of the places you may visit in KL!

And I came across this hotel which have good ratings, having nearby attractions and at an affordable rate.

Looks pretty relaxing and modern isn't it.

So, if you are staying at KIP hotel too, you're in for a real treat because there are a whole lot of fun stuff you can do near this 4-Star hotel.

*****************

If this is your first time to Kuala Lumpur, I would suggest you to visit some of the Iconic sights.

1. Petronas Twin Towers

Address: Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50088 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Opening hours: Tues to Sun 9am to 9pm. Closed on Mondays.

Who doesn't know the iconic twin towers, right? This is like the identity of Malaysia. Tourists from all over the world will take their chance in checking out this place.  Fun facts about Petronas Twin Tower: It was once marked as the tallest building in the world from 1998 till 2004 and remained the tallest twin towers in the world. t stands at 1,483 ft. and consist of 88 floors. These 88-story towers bear a modern Islamic design and a visitor sky bridge. You can access the bridge that connects the two towers. The experience might be traumatic for those who have fear for heights though. Totally different feel visiting them in the day and night.

2.  Kuala Lumpur Tower
Address: Jalan P Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Opening hours: 9am to 10pm daily

Before there was the Petronas Twin Towers, there was the KL Tower. This tower is the epiphany of greatness and identity for Malaysia. It was the pioneer of a revolving restaurant where you will have a first class view of entire Kuala Lumpur. Fun fact: KL Tower is the 7th tallest freestanding tower in the world.

3. Batu Caves
Address: Gombak, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia
Opening hours: 6am to 9pm daily

It is also one of the iconic religion landmark in Malaysia. Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. This is the most popular Hindu Shrines outside of India and the main point for Thaipusam festival in Malaysia.
Fun facts about Batu Caves: There are 272 steps leading up to the entrance of the cave. There is a 140ft statue of Hanuman covered in golden. It is definitely a good place to check out.

4. Breakout Real Escape Game
Address: Avenue K, Jalan Ampang, Kampung Baru, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Opening hours: 10am to 10pm daily

After some sight-seeing, it's time for some GAMES!
For those who are not familiar with the concept, it is basically like SAW with a lot less blood, killings/decapitations and a twisted clown freak on a tricycle threatening you through a television screen. The Breakout Real Escape Game is 8.7km away from the hotel in the Avenue K Shopping Mall. Avenue K is rather close by the KLCC, opposite of Suria KLCC. Here in Breakout, you will be able to choose the rooms you want as each has their own storyline and difficulty level. Anyway, it's definitely worth a try!

5. Verticale
Address: 2-105, Jalan Prima SG 3/2, Prima Seri Gombak, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia
Opening hours: Mon to Fri, 12 to 8pm, Sat 11am to 6pm, Closed on Sun

Up for some outdoor sports? If you are the adventurous type, you would probably like this one. This involves height, dangling, climbing and so much more! Verticale is the closest to KIP Hotel, just less than a kilometer away. This rock climbing company will provide you with the best adrenalin rock climbing experiences. They also have a family package for kids as young as 5 years old to enjoy some climbing. The minimum size for this activity is 3 pax. They have climbing gear all set up for you and the guides are good at what they do. Based on the reviews, this is one pretty good spot for some outdoor adventure activity.

 6. Café hops
