Sam and I brought our little Val to a nearest TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) as she's always easily falling sick. We tried many modern medicines but they always only cure the current sickness but not in the long run. So we believe in visiting TCM to set Val to be healtier in a long run instead. But we are not here to talk about my little Val.

We are here to talk about FOOD!
So we passed by this humble and decent looking café just round the corner of the TCM which caught our attention and decided why not and give them a try.

We were there around 8 pm and majority of the fish dishes were sold out.

It is like a local coffee shop setting.
They sell economical noodle during the daytime and western food by night at affordable prices.

They have baby chairs! I mean some of the places i go don't even bother to get baby chairs.

WEFIE before our food was served~

Homemade barley for only $1~

Wild Mushroom Soup $3.80

Valerie likes Mushroom Soup as you can tell from the photo above.
We were able to bite bits of mushroom so it's definitely not from some canned soup.
But this soup still cannot be compared with Soup Spoon's lah.
However, they are selling it at an affordable price for a rather big portion.
And it doesn't taste very bad either. Yums

Pork Chop $8.90
Served with Australian mix salad, straight cut fries and homemade sauce

The portion was quite generous.
But the pork chop was a tad too tough and dry though.

Chicken Chop $6.90
Served with salad, straight cut fries and rosemary red wine sauce

The Chicken chop was tender and their homemade sauce gives the chicken a different dimension in taste when ate together~
But I was expecting a thicker sauce though. The one they provided are more like a Jus instead of a sauce.

Homemade Mashed Potato $3.50

The mashed potato was very smooth but taste a little bland.
Kids friendly then :)

Bowen's Signature Spaghetti $8.90
Served with wild boar sauce

When the dish was served, it was definitely not what I have ever expected.
Looks quite dull and creamy. Does not look appetizing at all. However, its taste was quite unique, savoury and creamy.
But gets a little gelat after a while.

All in all, the overall atmosphere I quite like it. Very local.  I do like to dine at coffee shops too, although it seems like I have always been café hopping. I do like to hawker food too ya.
The food tasted quite alright with an affordable neighbourhood pricing.

I would rate it a 7/10.
