7days 6nights -beijing--chengde--tianjin holiday May 2013~ Part 1
Why did i choose to go to CHINA? Why am i going on TOUR?
Some brief details of my parents... They are pork sellers at Boon Lay Market...
And because for the first time, the market is having some big Reno? or painting... not too sure...
so my parents are super free for 2 months...
My mummy have never traveled in her whole life...even JB....
So we have decided to go on some tours...
My daddy doesn't wanna go... cos he and his lame concept of ... "whole family shouldn't travel together... blah blah blah..."
So, its Me, my little bro, Mummy and Mummy's friend from the market...
Why we decided on China.... hmmm because its a Chinese speaking place? most importantly... i have never been there too.... and seems like nobody wanna go china with me... so.... best to travel to china with family... hahahahahhahaaha..... and because they planned to go taiwan after the china trip... so... yupp...
I wanted New Zealand though... but Daddy said... expensive.. go yourself next time... ok.. fine....
So, we gotten the tickets for Beijing. Have chosen beijing over shanghai... because colleagues commented that beijing has got more scenery places, and also.. going china.. must climb Great wall of China ma).
So, right after paying the full amount for the tickets.... Few days later.... the outbreak of H7N9 went kinda serious....
We wanted to have a refund or changing of destination, but the travel agency (Namho) claimed that its still safe... and if we want to get the refund.... it will only be around $100 plus... this is crap... its still 1 mth before the trip... yet the refund was only $100+.....
But well, we decided to just go ahead la.... although quite reluctantly... many ppl asked us to go for vaccination... but well... i don't think that will be able to help if we really were to kenna the virus....
So so so... OFF WE GO~!!!!!
Its our first family trip!!!!
Air China or CHina air....
It will be my first and last time taking this airline...
There were many kids in the plane.... It was a night flight....
They were all so noisy!!! cant even slp... and the air stewardess didnt bother to go check out.... or pacify them blah blah.... the plane was also super hot and stuffy....
I actually saw kids peeing into a bottle instead of going to the toilet.
Fish menu... tasted really bad.... fish almost like eating fried flour....
Chicken menu, tasted slightly better than the fish menu...
Finally landed.....
There were some delay... hence, by the time we reached beijing was already pretty late...
And to our surprise... we were expecting some other groups of people for the tour...
But the tour guide said... nope... just the 4 of us for the 7d6n tour....
Well well.... good and bad.... we dont have to wait for others then... but was kinda awkward in the beginning...
As it was pretty late already, we head straight for dinner and then to the hotel.

Despite ppl warning us not to take any poultry at china...
but aiya!! Just eat only man!
Cold chicken.... tasted saltly... and looks abit bloody....
Celery with ham.... (salty and oily.... very oily)
Diluted soup... like drinking water but with milky colour...
Sweet and sour porkyyyy.... quite crispy... a little salty too...
Dunno what fish... but super lots of bone...
xiao bai cai ma?? i guess so... taste oki... but a bit oily too..
Summary of our dinner tonight~
My mummy is the one on the right... young looking beh.....
Its time to check in hotel.... It's Sheraton.... Quite cool...
And as usual... always good hotels.. can only use wifi at their lobby....
2 double bed for My bro and I.... like a shiok only~!
China got super lots of flavor of pocky...!!! i bought lots of them... until now there's still a few pack at my place....
Since it was still pretty early, we decided to have a stroll nearby of our hotel...
The weather was pretty shioks... It was around 18*C if i'm not wrong.

Day 2....
Before we head out, we need to have some OOTD pics of cos...
Many ppl said we are look super alike... What do you think???
Breakfast buffet..
And so... our first stop was THE SUMMER PALACE...
So, in the journey along the way, the tour guide would always brief alot of history about it...
I find some of the stuffs pretty interesting...
But to my mummy... it's.... "Huh, listen story again ar".... lol
Pretty cool right... its like going into some 古装戏...
Pretty flowers along the pathways...
We are YoUNG girls~!
My bro likes to take all sort of dustbins~
Next, we head to some silk shops....
And well, they said... went to join tour... especially china... they ought to bring you to these places....
So, be prepared!!!
looks pretty disgusting though...
Because its just the 4 of us... its just seems so difficult and paiseh not to buy anything la!!
Anyway, was also thinking for our new house... to have the silk quilt lo... aiya... just buy only man..

Next stop.... Dr Tea... China Tea house....
Another kenna Tok place.... and yup... we got TOK also lo...
Bought some tea back for relatives and ourselves...

Like a daBian~
It's Lunch Time~
We are having Thai food for Lunch near the Beijing olympics stadium
Crispy chicken... This tasted not bad...
Tom Yam soup... tasted quite yummy....
Not too spicy for me.. nice!
Mixed vege... not too salty and oily...nice!
Tang hoon? tasted oki too..
cripsy curry squid? tasted quite special... i like...
Curry chicken if i'm not wrong... tasted not bad too.
Overall, this lunch was considered not bad for my whole trip~
After lunch, we had to a super disastrous trishaw ride... which is they called it the famous beijing trishaw ride
through ancient alleys or lanes known as Hutong.
It was really a super terrible ride.... Cos there were strong wind blowing sand all around...
We cant even open our eyes during the ride... its a 折磨...
After the ride, our clothes, hair and bags were super dusty and sandy....
Arghhh....
Next destination: The Forbidden City~!!!!
Sand went into my eyes!!! HELP!
The wind is SO STRONG... it's really FORBIDDING us for entering la!!!
慈禧太后.... looks really like the one in 环珠格格eh....
Super difficult to get this shot done... so the wind was so freaking strong...
Bought this at arounf $2 though...

Next, we head to The Temple of Heaven
We love jumping shots...
And i really feel my bro and i got very good 默契of taking jumping shots!~
People there really enjoy their time....
They sing, gamble, playing chess... pretty fun...
Next, we head to this threatre to catch some stunning acts~ which was pretty cool...
I find this the coolest act of all.... 5 motorcyclists doing stuns in this small round metal cage...
Pretty awesome.... Was told that... maximum can actually go up to 8 motorcyclists in that cage...
Amazing, isn't it?
Dinner time!
Stired fried onions with porky.... tasted not too bad.. but a bit oily as usual...
Sesame bun with minced meat...
Tasted soso.... meat a bit dry....
Diced chicken with zucchini.... realised many of our dinner have this dish.
But it tasted already though... slight saltiness.
Their thick soup without much taste...
Our dinner for the night... i super like to eat tt enoki mushroom... but it was damn saltish....

Went to explore their mrt station...
Looks good but taste bad...
