Went for Trenzwalk with TingTing at Marina Bay Sands and chance upon this chill and chic place to have our dinner.
that's TingTing over there ~
Once you enter the restaurant, you will be blown away by their details.
I like the interior which looks rustic and at the same time looking very industrial with all the open pipes.
They made this two totally different concept work totally together, no?
So, since it's the "BIRD" Southern Table & Bar, we ought to order some bird related dishes, right?
Look at their extensive choices on Alcohols.
I may look a little chubbier here...
And to be honest this was a super late post!
I visit them in May which was already 5 months back!
Oh dear... it's about time to finish all the late posts! Buck up, Apple!
And yes, I was about 6 to 7kg heavier at that time I assume?
**************
Here comes the most important part of this post.
FOOD! GLORIOUS FOOD!
Skillet Cornbread @ $10
Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Jalapeno, Honey Butter
I notice that netizens were commenting on Instagram that this is a "must" eat?
But honestly, do not waste your calories.
Nothing fantastic about this piece of bread.
Instead, consuming more unnecessary Carbs means less space for yummier food later on right?
Fried Green Tomato BLT @ $18
In-House Smoked Pork Belly, Pimento Cheese, Frisee, Smoky Tomato Jam, Lemon Vinaigrette
This was a dish recommended by our waitress.
The customer service here was really great.
They are very helpful, thoughtful and nice.
This particular dish that she recommended was definitely quite a starter that you should have.
However, when I went online to check on their menu, it was no longer on the menu.
What a waste!
It was savoury and flavourful. The overall combination was just beyond words!
Lewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken @ $35
1/2 of their Famous Bird served with Honey sauce
It wasn't the crispy and crunchy type that I expected.
It was more like KFC's Original Chicken or Arnold's Fried Chicken.
No "Wow' factor for the chicken too.
We were expecting more!
Thus, it was a little disappointing to us.
St.Louis Style Pork Ribs (1/2) @ $36
(Cider glaze, Green Apple Slaw)
We ordered half portion of the ribs as recommended by our waitress.
We really want to try the ribs but was afraid that there's too much food for just the two of us.
Now, looking back, the price for full ribs was priced at $42.... why are 1/2 portions priced at $36 ar? hmmmm....
Back to talking about this dish, this was pretty good!
The ribs was juicy, tender and full of flavours.
You guys should definitely order this pork ribs instead of their fried chicken.
They also suggested some wine for us to pair with the food.
Wanted to end this wonderful meal with their dessert but something terrible happened... so end up not getting any mood for desserts. :(
My handphone fell onto and the screen cracked... and along with my heart it fell.
****************
All in all, my experience there was really a pleasant one.
Their customer service was really good.
They are very nice and thoughtful.
Overall, food and ambience was not bad too.
So, I would rate it a 8/10.
Thanks for reading.
